Obituary of William Bancroft Biggs

William Bancroft Biggs Sr., "Bill" age 85 passed away peacefully in his long-time Tucson home with family members at his side, January 30, 2018. Born in Dallas, Texas, October 5th, 1932, Bill attended Highland Park High School in Dallas and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy who passed in 2013. He attended Texas A & M in College Station, Texas and eventually moved to Tucson for a job opportunity with Hughes Aircraft Company where he worked as a draftsman and engineer for 33 years. After retirement, Bill and Kathy served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nova Scotia, Canada and Washington D. C. In his free time, Bill loved to paint and create beautiful and unique birdhouses for family and friends to enjoy. His greatest loves and interest centered around his family, serving in many capacities at his Church and providing Christlike service to others. He has 2 deceased children, Daniel S. and Andrew L. Biggs, and 5 living children, Peggy (David) Gibson, Bill (Christina) Biggs Jr., Andy S.(Cindy) Biggs, Daniel L. (Laura) Biggs, Becky Biggs Luscher. Grandchildren include 1 deceased grandchild, 19 living grandchildren and 24 living great-grandchildren. Bill never knew a stranger and truly believed that everyone was his friend. He was known for his kindness, constant concern for others, and most notably his quick wit. He is much loved by his big family and many friends. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' Fairmount Chapel, 6150 E. Fairmount Street.
