Obituary of Edward Paul Wentroble
"Crazy Eddie"
Edward passed peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on Tuesday January 23, 2018. He was born at home on April 23, 1927 in Wilkins Township, PA to parents Edward Wentroble and Catherine (Medrick) Wentroble. Beloved brother of William (Maxine) Wentroble, George (Ann) Wentroble, Joseph (Grace) Wentroble, Kathleen (Joseph) Brecko and Mildred (Jim) Noe. He is survived by nieces, nephews, many friends and business associates. Preceded in death by his partner of over 50 years John Sherman. Edward was a master mixologist. He loved being a bartender. He worked for many fine restaurants (Hollywood Show Bar, Silver Dollar, Mahoney's, Monzo's, Esta-Esta, Tarentum Station) over his 40 year career. Edward had a gift for making people feel special. He had such a charisma about him. People were drawn to him and they always left feeling happy and loved. Edward's quick wit, gift for gab, and joyful disposition kept patrons laughing and having a great time. Edward was very proud of his association with The Multiple Sclerosis Society. He raised money for MS research and patient services by participating and many times winning The MS " Ugliest Bartender" Contest. Edward had such an adventurous spirit. He has traveled extensively throughout the US, but also abroad to places such as: Spain, Africa, Australia, Canary Isles, Turkey, Morocco, England and Greece. Edward was good hearted. He personified kindness, love, unselfishness, goodness and generosity. He never wanted to let people down. Sometimes, he would overextend himself to be there for others. He put other peoples' needs before his own. A special appreciation to Javier, his caregiver and guardian angel for many years. Javier's support, dedication and love has allowed Edward to live his last years with a wonderful quality of life, filled with peace and joy. Ed was able to get out often to enjoy his friends in Arizona, dining at restaurants and road trips to the casino. Thank you, Javier. Edward will live in our hearts forever. He truly was an unforgettable person. He enriched so many lives over his 90 years of life. He was such a blessing. Love always your family. "Wenterbottoms" forever. Until we meet again our precious Edward, keep the tabs open and the beer flowing! Arrangements by Adair Funeral Home, Dodge Chapel.
