Obituary of Betty Gail Wakefield

WAKEFIELD, Betty Gail 95, of Tucson, passed away on January 21, 2018. Preceded in death by Melvin, her loving husband of 39 years and sister, Charlotte Windsor. Betty is survived by son, Brent (Teri); daughter, Cindy (Mark) Flannery; seven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and many extended family members. Born in Branson, CO, she moved to Arizona at the age of four. In 1945, she married Melvin, her high school sweetheart, and devoted her life to her family and to the many children whose lives she touched throughout her 45 years at Happy Trails Preschool. Her curiosity about people and the world around her kept her young at heart and always open to new perspectives. She will be missed by many. Visitation will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Memorial at St. James UMC Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., 3255 N. Campbell 85719.
