Obituary of Ruth Marie Wentzel

On November 1st Ruth passed peacefully at home amongst family members. She was born December 5, 1923 to Anna and Arnold Vess in Chicago and lived in Tucson for 33 years. Ruth was the best Mom, Grandmother and wife to Walter for over 72 years. We will cherish our memories of her quick wit, square dancing, painting, pottery, love of chocolate and being 29 forever. The love she gave to family (including her dogs) and friends was returned by all. She is survived by her husband Walter, daughters Sue Moser, Janice (Ron) Banda, Gail, Karen (Gilbert Soto), Amanda (Ed Spearly) and grandchildren Michael (Kim) Kuch and Beth Kuch. She was preceded by her son William and siblings Arnold and Lorraine. Visitation will be held from 5:30-8:00 pm on Friday, November 10th and 9:00-9:30 am on Saturday, November 11th at Adair Funeral Home, Avalon Chapel 8090 N. Northern, Tucson. Services will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 11th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8650 N Shannon Rd. with internment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Rd.
