Obituary of Mary Angela Chihak

Mary Angela Gradillas Chihak, 86, of Tucson, Went home to God Creator on October 19, 2017 in Tucson, AZ. She was born on October 1, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus & Angelita (Gonzales) Gradillas, brother Joseph Gradillas, Sister Eva Gradillas Martinez and grandson Xavier Ortiz, Stepson Patrick Chihak and Gilberto S. Leon. She is survived by husband Frank A. Chihak, of 45 years, brother Jesse Gradillas, sisters Lily (Harry, deceased) Estrada, Esther Gradillas and Alice Fimbres; daughters Jean Leon, Carol Leon, Leticia Leon, Teresa Ortiz (Roy, deceased), sons Gilbert (Alice) Leon, Ronald (Jennifer, deceased) Leon, Tony (Maria) Chihak, stepson Michael (Hilda Oropeza) Chihak and stepdaughter Genevieve Heath. Grandchildren, Armando (Julia) Leon, Angelica Leon, Leanna(Rosie) Leon, Gilbert Anthony Leon, Michael Alvarado, Veronica Leon and Sophia Moreno (deceased), Alfredo (Brooksanne) Gomez, Jr, Alyssa Gomez, Gina Pro, Rudy Pro Jr., Rosalinda Ortiz, Antonio (Chelsea) Ortiz, Victor Chihak, Lilou Chihak and 25 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Tucson, AZ. Our Mother, Nana, passed away peacefully surrounded by 5 generations of family and friends, with her favorite mariachi music playing. Nuestra fashionista, Amor, Mother, Sister, Nana, Tia, Friend, and partner in crime. She lived a full life filled with beauty, love. Heaven gained another Angel and we gained another Guardian Angel.
