Obituary of Ada Marie Bowman

Ada Marie Bowman went to be with her Lord Jesus on August 29, 2017. Born January 10, 1916, to Milo and Florence Richmond. Her mother, Florence, passed away when Marie was 18 months old and was then raised by her grandparents. Marie, formally of Galesburg, Illinois, has lived in Tucson since 1948. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1934, and on September 2, 1936, Marie was married to the love of her life, Bernard H. Bowman. To this union was born Gene (Rita), twins Merrill and Carol (Carol deceased at age 20) and Roger Dean (deceased at age 16) and David Bowman. Bernard and Marie also raised Carol's son, William (Bill) Holland (Cynthia) as their son, all of which are from Tucson. Marie was a housewife, loving mother and grandmother. She had 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. She loved everyone she knew and will be missed by all. Services will be held on September 9, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Morningside Baptist Church located at 5902 E 29th Street, Tucson, AZ 85711. There will be a reception following the service.
