Obituary of Paul James Walker
WALKER, Paul James 66, of Tucson, passed away on June 30, 2017 in Vancouver, WA surrounded by family. He was born on June 28, 1951 to Lois and Tom Walker. He is survived by his wife, September, his children, Mason and Misty, his grandchildren, Preston, Victoria and Greyson, sister, Lisa Madore, nephew, Max, niece, Christina and her son, Angel. Paul was a cowboy at heart and passed while September read him cowboy poetry. Paul, his cowboy hat and dog Maggie left their mark on the Tucson community. Paul and his sisters, Lisa, Amy and Chrissy grew up on Prince Rd. Local artists built a studio named Las Canastas on the property with a traditional kiln modeled after a Mayan temple. Lois' love for art and southwestern culture made an impression on Paul from a young age. Lois bought Country Emporium Antiques on Dodge in 1974. Paul had a deep-rooted passion for antiques and collectibles. He soon took over Country Emporium. In 1979 he met his love, September Stark. They were married in 1980 and had their children, Mason in 1981 and Misty in 1983. Paul raised his family in the store and created unique experiences for them to appreciate history along the way. Paul and September worked hard to make Country Emporium a showplace specializing in western and mining relics. Anyone who visited the store found Paul to be very generous with his time and honest with his words-which was the greatest treasure to be found in Country Emporium. Paul loved the desert and was at home here. He shared his love of nature with his wife and kids during their many camping and hiking trips coving the far corners of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. He had many friends of all ages and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Adair Funeral Homes Avalon Chapel, Oro Valley, AZ. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES.
