MARKS, Dr. Ronald L. died May 2, 2017 at the age of 82 in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Avis, PA to William and Miriam (Strunk) Marks. Ron was the youngest of two older brothers, Bruce of Tucson and William Jr., deceased, of Jersey Shore, PA. Ron was married June 10, 1956 to Carol L. Cook of Dale, PA. Ron furthered his chemistry education at The Pennsylvania State University (M.ED., Ed.D.), Bucknell University, and Brown University. He loved teaching his students the subject of chemistry in the classroom and in the laboratory. He has published in both chemistry education and inorganic chemistry. Amongst his several awards was a Faculty Teaching Chair from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1978. Since his retirement in 1996, Ron and Carol have travelled and fished extensively; but, their love of family was always most important.
