Obituary of Ann Marie Madrid
Ann Marie Madrid, age 70, of Tucson, AZ, died at home on February 24th, 2017, after a long but valiant struggle with kidney and heart disease. Born on September 19, 1946 in Eau Claire WI, she is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Henry, and her four devoted daughters, Debbie Stiltner, Jennifer Madrid (Roger Thibodeau), Christa Madrid and Melissa Madrid; her six grandchildren, Justin & Tyler Stiltner, Julie & Brendan Thibodeau, Ryland & Nicholas Chadwell; and her three brothers (and their families), Mike, Tim & Chuck Buckley; as well as many other beloved extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, William & Shirley Buckley, and her brother Bill.
"Annie" was cherished by all who knew her. She always had a smile and a hug for anyone, no matter how sick she was feeling that day. She was steadfast and loyal to her favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, but also found room in her big heart to cheer on the Diamondbacks and the U of A. She loved to bowl and spent much of her adult life sharing that joy with the kids in the junior bowling program.
While her loss is heartbreaking to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed, we know that she is happy to be reunited with her parents, brother and long-lost friends, healthy once again and free of pain.
A memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Ann at Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave in Oro Valley on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ann's name to the National Kidney Foundation, found on her memorial page at the NKF web site http://team.kidney.org/campaign/annmadrid
