Obituary of Rita Mary Brady
Rita M Brady, RN, originally from N.J., has been a resident of AZ since 1974.
Rita died February 4, 2017 at All Comforts of Home Adult care home.
She was a graduate of Saint Vincent Academy, in Newark , New Jersey
and Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Orange, New Jersey.
Rita was a member of the Medical Mission Sisters from Fox Chase
Philadelphia for 11 years spending 7 of them at Holy Family Hospital in
Rawalpindi, Pakistan. As a resident of AZ, she worked as a Nurse at
Saint Mary's Hospital in Tucson where she was a Unit Director
when she retired in 2001.
Rita was a member of Sacred Heart Parish here in Tucson where she served
2 terms on the Parish Council and was elected President twice.
She volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound,
eventually becoming its director. She was also active with Operation Hospitality which cared for the homeless during the winter months.
Adair Dodge Chapel Visitation is Friday February 10 from 6 to 8 PM
Prayer Service at 7 PM. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated
Saturday, February 11 at Sacred Heart, Tucson at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, we suggest support be given to the Medical Mission Sisters of Fox Chase, Pennsylvania or Sisters of Charity at Convent Station, New Jersey or Sacred Heart Church in Tucson.
