Obituary of Mary Patricia Reinking
REINKING, Mary Patricia "Pati" 1/22/1943 - 12/25/2016 Pati passed away on December 25, 2016 with her soulmate, Robert "Rink" Reinking at her side. Pati was born in Chicago, IL on January 22, 1943 and moved with her family in 1955 to Sacramento, CA. Pati moved to Tucson, AZ in 1967 with Rink. Her spouse of 50 years, Rink, and sister, Laurie M. Brunell of San Antonio, TX survive Pati. Pati was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward Almasi and Grace Patricia Almasi and her brother, John Edward Almasi III. Pati was a creative artist whose interests included oil painting and designing textiles. She also designed and created wearable art in the form of custom jewelry that incorporated gem stones, beads and her own hand-crafted silver work. Pati was honored to be a Lifetime Member of the Southern Arizona Region Porsche Club of America. She held various leadership positions in the club including being its President in 1977 and 1985. She planned many memorable social events and served on various club committees for over 47 years. The most rewarding aspect of this association was the lifelong friendships that it fostered. She had a passion for the Arizona desert and its plants and animals … especially the native birds she and Rink would love to watch in their back yard. This creative, gifted, vibrant, lovely woman will not be forgotten. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to either the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or the Tohono Chul Park Botanical Gardens. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel.
