1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13 says, "Moreover, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant as to those who have fallen asleep in death." As Dad's first born, he taught me three very important things in life.....love of gardening, fishing and drinking beer!
Gardening....he often took me with him to Durso's Flower Shop which smelled fantastic and Mr Durso always took time to give me a flower! Also wandered occasionally through Good Earth Nursery and thought I was in Heaven. I am now an avid gardener and full blown flower freak.
Fishing....at a very early age I learned that when on the end of a line, "weeds don't wiggle"!
Drinking beer....Dad used to tip his chair back and place his open beer beneath it while visiting with someone. At about 3 I figured that one out and the rest is history!!!
