Obituary of Harry Paulus
PAULUS, Harry, Now I lay me down to sleep…died December 8, 2016 at 88 years young. Harry had a full and productive life. He worked until the last two weeks of his life, when he had a brief illness. He died a good death, Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Susie Paulus and his brother, Donald Paulus (Betty) all of Eugene, OR. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; three sons, Bradley, David (Jaylene), Richard all of Dallas, OR and daughter, Barbara Gaffney, Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, two great-grandsons, many sister and brothers-in-law and a ton of nieces and nephews - they all loved him well. He was a huge presence in the lives of all who knew him. His was a life well lived, with passion, a great sense of humor and that big laugh. He enjoyed family, extended family and so many great friends. He really made memories. Harry spent the last 42 years working with Eileen in their retail business. He enjoyed the freedom of owning his own business, golfing, RVing, football, cruises and several trips to Ireland and the British Isles to visit Eileen's family, they loved him so. Prior to being self employed, he spent 35 years as a Manager with the F.W. Woolworth Company in Oregon, Sacramento and Tucson. He loved his church and church friends and was a generous supporter of the community. He was a Rotarian for 60 years, 47 of those in the Tucson Rotary Club. He was a member of the Executive Association of Tucson, Sabbar Shrine and Jesters. He will truly be missed. Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Memorial Service Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road. No flowers please.
