Obituary of Glen Edward Huffman
HUFFMAN, Glen Edward answered the call of his Lord and left for heaven to be with God on December 11, 2016. He was born in Grand Rapids, Ohio, on April 22, 1932 to Floyd and Ina Huffman, the 14th in a family of 15 children. He was 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Charlotte; his son, Michael; two grandchildren, Valaryee Huffman and Ryan Truso (Rachele); two great- grandchildren, Nigel and Coco and nephew, Keith Brammer (Julie). His son, Scott, preceded him in death in March 2012. He served in the U.S. Army, including two years in the Korean Conflict. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1957 and married Charlotte Brammer a year later. He worked for IBM Corporation for 32 years, earning his degree at Michigan State University during this time. After retiring in 1989, he devoted 17 years of service to the United Way of Tucson. He was active in local politics and was an avid civil war history buff. As a Catholic, Glen devoted time to various parishes and was a member of St. Odilia parish. A Viewing and Visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Avenue on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte. Entombment will be completed at Holy Hope Cemetery following the services.
