Obituary of Lester G Miller
MILLER, Lester G. 91, died on November 17, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born in Mason City, Iowa on June 25, 1925, he married his wife, Marilyn (Campbell) Miller and eventually moved to Tucson in 1951. They were married for 65 wonderful years until Marilyn's passing. During his years in Tucson, he and Marilyn raised six kids, Chris (Moni), Maggi (Donald), Mike (Robin), Katie (Karl), Tim (Sabra) and Patrick (Sally); 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Les spent 58 years selling Fords at Holmes Tuttle Ford. His long career as a Ford salesman included many Salesman of the Year awards, and a feature article in Time Magazine where he was honored as one of the top Ford salesman in America. In 1964, he was proud to have sold the first Mustang in Tucson. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Saint Thomas the Apostle with a Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Holy Hope Cemetery will immediately follow the service. Les was a Sargent in the US Army in WWII and will be buried with a military honor guard present. A special thanks from the family is extended to the caring staff at La Rosa at Brookdale Santa Catalina.
