Obituary of Marilyn Jean Boughton

BOUGHTON, Marilyn Jean at 86 joined her family in Heaven on September 16, 2016. Predeceased by parents, Elmer and Emily Lewis, and husband, Edward Franklin Boughton. Born April 13, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. Survived by sister, Evelyn; children, Theresa, Barbara, Linda (James), Timothy (Teresa), Patty (Bill), Thomas (Diane), Daniel (Linda), Mary (Ronald), and John (Celeste); grandchildren, Joshua (Jessie), Melissa (John), Alison (Scott), Stephen, Brian (Carolyn), Kevin, Jeffrey, Megan (Kass), Jennifer (Cody), Kyle, Matthew, Kathryn, Christina, Erica, Chris, Alexander, Jaden and Grace; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Parker, Danielle, Gwendolyn and Brayden; nieces, Beth (Mark), Karen and nephew, David; and many cousins throughout the country. Marilyn and her family moved to Tucson in July 1946. She graduated from Tucson High School, where she met her future husband, Edward. They were married on May 5, 1951. Marilyn enjoyed a career at the University of Arizona Student Union Bookstore for many years. The loves of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She devoted her life to raising and loving all of them. Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed all the family get-togethers. Everyone will remember her for all of the loving things she did and said and especially all the hugs, her laugh, her twinkling eyes when she smiled at you, and of course, her peanut butter cookies. Visitation will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cyril of Alexandria Roman Catholic Parish, 4725 E. Pima Street at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 with a Comitial Service at Holy Hope Mausoleum. A reception will follow.
