Obituary of Mary A Ruiz

RUIZ, Mary A. 73 years old, resident of Tucson, AZ, went to meet her parents, brothers and family in Heaven with Our Father. She was preceded in death by her parents, Armando and Consuelo Ruiz; her brothers, Armando G. Ruiz Jr. and Arthur P. Ruiz. She is survived by her brother, David Ruiz (Gloria); sister, Cecilia Al-Saleh (Anwar); daughters, Amanda Claxton (Randy), Mayra Alday (Mark) and Laura Ortiz (Martin); eight grandchildren, Federico, Marc, Melina, Cecilia, Isabella, Arrianna, Sam and Jasmine as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Mary, or Tana, as most people called her, was the eldest in the brood of five. She was often left in charge of her siblings while her parents were minding the store. Many of her cousins still recall her nurturing spirit while watching many of them as well. Mary loved to sing and had an angelic voice. She often could be found playing the piano, accompanied on the guitar by her brother "Mandito". She loved her family, her children and grandchildren and often told them how proud she was of them. Many cherished memories are still recounted by the many that loved her. She will be dearly missed. Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel on Northern and Mass on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Parish followed by interment at Holy Hope Cemetery.
