Obituary of Hilda K Eshbach

I wonder how I should say goodbye to my mother. She completed her mission on this world and started a new journey on the morning on July 28, 2016. It did not come as a surprise, really. Mom was here among us for a long time. She was born at the end of World War I. She lived through the Great Depression, through the Second World War, was the wife of architect, William W. Eshbach (d. 1994), a Lt. JG in the US Navy. She supported my father as he struggled through the loss of his mother and as he established his architectural practice in Philadelphia. My mother was a wife and a stay-at-home mother. She graduated from Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania sometime in the mid-1930's. Her father, John Campbell, worked for the railroad. Her mother, Jennie, like most other women of the time, worked in the home, raising my mother, and her siblings. She outlived most of the people she cared for and is survived by her son, Bill (Bernadete); her granddaughters, Holly (Troy), great grandson Ian, and granddaughter Kimberly (Patrick). We pray that she was greeted at the next stop of her journey by those dear friends, relatives, and neighbors. If you knew my mother, and feel moved to do so, please write about a memory, an incident, a story about her. When you are done, say a prayer and smile. Hilda K. Eshbach is at peace. Instead of flowers, please make a contribution, in Kae's name, to a charity of your choosing.
