Obituary of Mabel Knight

KNIGHT, Mabel 84, died peacefully on July 19, 2016 at her home in Tucson, after a prolonged struggle with cancer. Mabel was born on August 24, 1931, in Wayne, Ohio to Eldon and Vondale Holcomb (Sherman). Mabel married Roy W. Knight on May 28, 1950 in Wayne, Ohio. She was a loving and faithful wife of 66 years. Mabel is survived by her husband, Roy W. Knight of Tucson; her children, Connie Hendrickson of Tucson, Roy W. Knight Jr. of Mesa, AZ, Deborah and Jim Morrison of Tucson; grandchildren, Julie and Nobel Anderson of Juneau Alaska, Holly Preston of Tucson, Brian Nordyke of Charleston SC, Adrian, Anthony, Christy Hendrickson of Tucson and Kim McGrew of Tucson, great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Jace Preston and Austin McGrew. She is also survived by her sisters, Lou Swanson of Price George, VA, Lillian Schroeder of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Nancy and Blaine Robinson of Orono, ME and her brother, William and Eugenia Sherman of Bowling Green, Ohio. There will be a Memorial Service at Catalina United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. At a later date there will be a Private Graveside Service at Graham Cemetery in Wayne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the American Cancer Society of Tucson AZ or Catalina United Methodist Church of Tucson, AZ.
