Obituary of Mary Kathryn Houtz

HOUTZ, Mary Kathryn Kathy transitioned towards the light on July 5, 2016 at the age of 89. She left this world surrounded by her three loving children, Jodi, Mark and Steve. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Kathleen; husband, Kenny; parents, Ray and Anna; twin brothers, Harrell and Garrell Ellis. Kathy is survived by her daughters-in-law, Kathryn and Norine; sister, Georgia Stoeckman; grandchildren, Brianne, Tanner, Matt, Britnee, Kenna and Zack; close friends, Elvia Araneta and Marianne Klier. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was fondly referred to as Grammy by the grandchildren she adored and helped to raise. Kathy's life was always focused on her family. The enjoyment she received from time spent together during family celebrations always enriched her life. Visitation is Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa de la Luz Inpatient Hospice.
