Obituary of Recelon Miller

Recelon Miller, age 65, was born on June 16, 1951, in Forrest City, Arkansas to Reece Dillard (deceased) and Mary Sue Dortch (Allmon). She was called home to Glory on June 16, 2016 while living in Tucson, Arizona. Friends and family remember Recelon as a bold and courageous, "take no mess," woman that was full of strength equally balanced with humility and a heart of gold. She was an amazing and supportive friend, and if you were bestowed the honor of being called her friend she was more than loyal - a true confidant! As a co-worker, Lyn was a valuable and dependable team member who passionately served and took care of others during their time of need. She was a wealth of knowledge, and even though her approach may have been blunt and to the point, she was always willing to go above and beyond in order to support, find answers and lend a helping hand. Our mother was caring, unselfish, wise, beautiful, bighearted, enterprising, patient, giving, helpful, humorous, inspiring, intelligent, outspoken, strong-willed, at times uncompromising, stern, and loving. And, if that wasn't enough, at home she fulfilled the roles of grandmother, mother, father, sister, brother, provider, supporter, teacher, doctor, disciplinarian, friend, and the list goes on - she was the real wonder woman. Recelon Miller had a zest for life and the great outdoors. She was a God fearing woman who never passed on the opportunity to speak of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be a witness of the goodness and glory of the Lord. Recelon is preceded in death by her husband Issac Miller, Jr. and sister Evelyn Rice. She is survived by her sisters, Marvaleen Garrette, Betty Jean Williams, Lametha Pryor, Tanya Dillard and Laverne Dillard; brothers Reece Dillard, Jr., Myron Dillard and Kerry Dillard. Recelon also leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Victoria Miller and son Issac Miller; granddaughters Mallari Johnston and Maggie Mae Wise; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Adair Funeral Home - Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd, Tucson, Arizona 85716. Pastor Curtis Pryor, from Chicago, Illinois, will officiate the service.
