Obituary of Martha Polenz Esmay

ESMAY, Martha Polenz, died peacefully on June 12, 2016. She was born in Leigh, NE on June 23, 1920. In her full life, she taught school, served in the Navy, attended Universities, and worked for MDA. She wed Stephen Taber in 1945 and married Paul Esmay in 1973. When she was in her 70s she met her last partner, George Rolinger. She is survived by her brother, Lester Polenz and children, Caroline (Taber) Kauffman, Stephen, Louis, Ray, Eugenie, Leslie, Robin (Esmay) Kruse, Mike and Steven Higgins and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She came to Tucson in 1965 and was a member of Abounding Grace Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Abounding Grace, 2450 S. Kolb Rd., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Nature Conservancy or Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.
