Obituary of Dean H Vesling
Dean H. Vesling, 81, of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully on May 22, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Dean was the beloved son of Clarence and Hazel Vesling of Warren, PA. Dean graduated in 1956 with a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Dean married the love of his life Marilyn Fischer in 1958 after serving a brief stint in the Air Force. Dean was the loving father of Susan Siefkas (Chris), Nancy Young (Ray) and Craig Vesling (Wendy) and proud grandfather of Katerina, Cody, McKenna, Matthew, Gregory and Molly. In 1989 he retired after a 28 year career with IBM and started his consulting firm, Dean Vesling & Associates. His vision, leadership, kindness and professionalism facilitated its growth from humble beginnings to a level that has enabled DVA to provide hundreds of jobs in Southern Arizona in the last two decades. He received numerous awards and honors throughout his education and career. He was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, son and brother, a great source of strength and guidance to his family and friends and always a gentleman. Dean was an avid sports fan not only for Penn State Nittany Lions but also the UofA Wildcats. As a member of Skyline Country Club, Dean always enjoyed tennis and golf with friends. Dean was also a member of the Foothills Forum. Dean will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
