Obituary of Elizabeth Pate

PATE, Elizabeth "Betty" 10/8/1952 - 4/19/2016 Born in Brooklyn, New York to Phil and Betty Wehle. After her birth, her parents moved to Southern California where she was raised in Garden Grove. She graduated Norco High School in 1971 and then moved to Ridgecrest in 1972. While living in Ridgecrest she raised her family and pursued a career in nursing. Betty met and fell in love with John Pate in 1993 and they married in 1995. She graduated with her Masters Degree and practiced as a Family Nurse Practioner in Ridgecrest, Oregon and Arizona. Betty was loved by many of her patients and coworkers. Her passion was helping others not only in achieving a healthy lifestyle, but spiritually and professionally. She was a great lover of travel and adventure and enjoyed spending many of her days with her husband on horseback in the Sierras, as well as exploring with him by Harley. Betty passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in Tucson, Arizona on April 19, 2016. Betty is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Audra Sparks. She is survived by her husband, John Pate; children, Kelly and Chris Potten, Greg and Barbara Greedy, Pete and Hagar Greedy, Victoria and Eddie Hamilton; sisters, Kathy Moore, Leslie Broaker, Denise Leahy and Cindy Harding; step-siblings, Rob Bock and Susan Groves; grandchildren, Ireland and Abigail Greedy and Tyler Hamilton, as well as her vast extended family. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at noon in Tucson, AZ at Our Lady Of the Desert Redemptorist Renewal Center. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.
