Obituary of Frances Munroe DeBuhr

DE BUHR, Frances Munroe of Tucson died in the early morning hours of March 31, 2016. Born on March 3, 1925 in Quincy, FL to Linton Stubbs and Frances Philips Munroe, she had just celebrated her 91st birthday. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Abbie Edden de Buhr Williams. She is survived by her children, Alfred Philips (Mary) de Buhr of Downers Grove, IL, Frances Evelyn (Frank Rothschild) de Buhr of Kilauea, HI, Alice Munroe (Gloria Schmetzer) de Buhr of Tucson; her grandchildren, Kimberlyn Vail de Buhr of Chicago, IL, Branden Philips (Tracy) de Buhr, Beau Budd (Tara Martin) Williams of Kekaha, HI and her great-grandchildren, Ellie, Meg and Blake of Lisle, IL. Frances lived a full and extraordinary life, touching all she met with her gentle teaching. She was an active member of St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church for as long as she was able. She played a great game of bridge until her eyesight failed. Frances' last view was of her beloved green backyard with humming birds buzzing her feeders; her "window on the world." We miss her dearly and would like to thank Dr. Martha R. Miller for her consistent love and compassionate care, and are grateful to the gentle care given by Isabel Somosa, Pam Bessinger and Diana Anselmo, as well as Terry and Angela and the entire Hospice Family Care team. At Frances' request, there will be no service and her body was donated to science at S.W.I.B.A. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
