Obituary of Margaret Harrelson

Margaret Harrelson 92, passed away February 10, 2016, she was born on September 15, 1923 and adopted at the age of five by George Dwight and Julia (Baxter) Sargent of Collinsville, AL. Our mom was devoted to Jesus and helping others. She loved making home-cooked meals for Teen Challenge and the Giving Tree. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Katie Sue Barnett and Ruth Becton; grandson, Mordecai Harrelson and former husband, J.B. Harrelson. She is survived by her four children, Sandy (Bill) Beavers, Charles Dwight Harrelson, Robin (Marty) McGauhey, Greg Harrelson and seven grandkids, Greg Beavers, Mike Beavers, Barbara Grinstead, Lynda Calton, Erica Sanders, Jared Osburn and Levi Spencer. She also had 13 great-grandkids and four great-great- grandkids. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the East Side Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Teen Challenge. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
