Obituary of June Ann Head
June Ann Head passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 10, 1924 to Charles and Emma Gibbons whom she joins in heaven along with her siblings, Colwell Gibbons, Beryl Pelot and John Gibbons. She lost the first love of her life, Gordon B. Thompson, in 1961. She lost her second love, Roy P. Head, in July, 2015. She is survived by her daughters, April (John) Ritchie and Janie (Gene) Morrison. She is also survived by the "Great Ones", as she named them, her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Natalie Coover, Tyler (Jenny) Ritchie, Gordy (Monica) Ritchie and the "greatgrands", Alex, Addie, Graham, Brooke and Crosby, as well as, many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. The greatest job of her life was her time as Director of the Interfaith Community Services (formerly Northwest Interfaith Center). She began as the secretary for this organization in 1985 and later became the director. She retired as director after 14 years. There will be a Celebration of her life on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte.
