Obituary of Harry M Graham PhD
Dr. Harry M. Graham a devoted husband, family man, scientist, and volunteer, passed away on October 24, 2015 at the age of 86 in Tucson, Arizona. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; two children, Nancy Schlegel and Robert Graham (Christina) and three grandchildren, Angela, Valerie, and Nathaniel. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and earned his PhD in Entomology at the University of California Berkeley. Harry began his career with the US Department of Agriculture in south Texas where he met his bride, Dorothy. They later moved to Tucson where he led the USDA Biological Control of Insects Laboratory. In retirement, he volunteered at Sabino Canyon where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge about the wonders of nature and entomology for over twenty years. Kind and generous, "Papa" will be remembered with fondness and cherished for the time he spent teaching his children, grandchildren and visitors at Sabino about nature.
