We were very saddened to hear of John's passing. We greatly enjoyed his yearly visits to Sheboygan to visit his family and friends. John was a good friend to my father Stanley and my mother Evelyn, from 'way back in the 1930's, in grade school and high school. We "inherited" his friendship after my father's passing, when he came to visit my mother. John was gregarious and generous - he left a trail of smiles behind him, and you were anticipating his next visit - before he had even left! We loved to hear his stories about The War, his latest adventures, his family, and of course his great love Vicki. We got to meet and enjoy Tony and Rose's company a number of times, as well. John was so accomplished, and never let an opportunity to learn more escape him. It was hard to believe how much he could pack into a year when you read the Christmas missives he and Vicki sent out! Simply put - John loved being a friend, and we loved having him. God bless him, and our sincere condolences to his family. Tim Potochnik and Amy Heyman
