Obituary of Violet Dinwiddie

Violet Dinwiddie passed away on September 27, 2015 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 106. She was born in Laramie, Wyoming on January 9, 1909. Her parents ranched on the Big Laramie River in the early 1900's. Vi rode horseback three miles to and from grade school. She finished her schooling in Laramie and met her husband, Jack, at the University of Wyoming. They moved to Texas for five years, then back to Laramie to ranch with her parents. After Jack's stint with the Army they returned to Laramie and ranching. They sold their ranches in 1969 and built a home on the east side of Sheep Mountain. They spent their summers in Wyoming and winters in Arizona. Vi and Jack moved permanently to Tubac, AZ in the early 80's. Jack died in 1986 and Violet stayed in Tubac until she moved to Tucson in 2004. Violet was a friend to everyone she met and she will forever remain in the hearts of her many friends.
