Obituary of Arlene Theresa Madore

Arlene Theresa Madore passed away of natural causes in her home Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the age of 75. Arlene was born to Verna and Joe Belanger on May 30, 1940 in Eustis, Maine where she spent her childhood years. After high school she continued her education in accounting and did bookkeeping until her retirement. She married her husband of 44 years William Madore on June 13, 1971. Together they raised three daughters, Michelle (Earl), Denise (Jamie), and Billie Jo (Randy) after moving to Tucson, AZ. She is survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and was joyously expecting two more this year. She was lovingly known as "Nanny". Nanny was full of love and light. Her energy shined through with her personality, willingness to help whom ever needed her. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and talk about all the children for hours. She was very out-spoken with her years of wisdom and advice and never held judgement. Nanny was truly our family's rock and glue that held us together. Nanny's door was always open and she welcomed anyone to sit and chat. She always made you feel that her time was unconditionally given to you. She loved playing cards and would challenge you to a game of Rummy. She spent quiet hours reading her romance novels. Her days were filled with taking care of others' needs with no complaint. Nanny will be missed by the many hearts she touched and her light and love lives on through her three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nanny was a #1 Elvis fan; she had her sitting room a true memorial to him. Her day of passing is the same as his. Love me tender Love me sweet Never let me go You made my life complete And I love you so.
