Obituary of William T. Freer
William T. Freer, 90, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 4, 2015. He was born on August 24, 1924 in Ticonderoga, NY to the late Samuel and Irene Freer. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Dean and his brother, Charles Freer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole Sue Freer, three sons, William Jr., Richard and Robert Freer, three stepsons, Kevin, Douglas and David Schwartz, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends, both here and in New York.
After high school in New York City, he attended Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY. He served for four years in the Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Wichita. His entire career was spent in the field of advertising as an account executive specializing in sales and commercial art. In 2004, he and his wife moved from Shokan, NY to Tucson, AZ where he enjoyed painting, golf and long walks on a beautiful nature trail.
He will be missed by all who knew him. At his request there will be no service. He would like family and friends to celebrate his life in their own way.
