Obituary of Daniel Castillo

Castillo, Daniel passed away June 12, 2015 Services to celebrate him will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Thursday June 18,2015 5:00 pm Rosary and Friday June 19th, 2015 10:30 am Mass. Daniel was an intelligent, reserved, dignified and faithful man who quietly helped family, friends and colleagues in their personal, professional and spiritual lives. He was passionate about his work and learning. His energy and humor could light up the room. He was a beloved son, husband, father brother, and uncle. Dan graduated from Douglas High school and the University of Arizona majoring in business administration and accounting. He was the owner and co-founder of Castillo Associates Insurance and co-founder of Groupo Seguro Castillo. These businesses serve clients in Arizona, California, Utah, Nevada and throughout Mexico. He was proud to be a trusted financial advisor for his clients and their children. Castillo Associates will continue under the direction of his brother and partner, Tony Castillo. In 2002, Daniel married Norma Ley. They shared many happy moments with each other and delighted in the birth of their daughter, Dana. They planned and enjoyed many special parties, trips and activities. Since Norma's passing in 2010, Daniel devoted himself to caring for Dana. She has said many times that Daniel was not only her father, but also her best friend Daniel kept the following prayers and quotes in his calendar and reviewed them daily: • According to your faith, be it unto you. Matthew 9:29. • Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding in all way acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 • Daily Prayer: Lord, I love you and I need you. Come into my heart and bless me, my family, my home, and my friends. In Jesus name. Amen He was active in St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in the Knights of Columbus and as a Religious Education teacher. Daniel is survived his daughter, Dana, mother, Vera, Step children, Willy Ley Martinez(Ana wife and children) and Amarantha (Joel Valdez and children), brothers, Tony ( Monica wife, Drew, god son) & Rudy (Viv, wife, Miguel, Carissa, Analise, Tessa, and Marco), sister, Monica(Steve Villaescusa, Marisa and Monique). He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Ley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in his name.
