Obituary of Leslie Gail Crosby

Leslie Gail Crosby passed away May 22, 2015. She was born in Hackensack, NJ to Everett S. and Marion (Knoess) Hopper. She is survived by her husband, John Crosby; three children, Rachel (Jason) Parm, Gretchen Crosby and Peter (Alli) Crosby; three grandchildren, Aiden Parm, Liberty and Austin Underhill and her brother, Douglas Hopper. Leslie was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, received her BSN at the University of Virginia, and studied towards her MSN at the University of Arizona. She served as a US Navy nurse during the Viet Nam era and in the Naval Reserves and was a charter member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial. She was a 50 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star Pioneer Chapter #127 in Hackensack, NJ. For over 45 years, she was an active member of the nursing community, working at all the major local hospitals, and most recently taught nursing assistant classes. She was a supporter of scouting programs, volunteering with both the Sahuaro Girl Scout and Catalina Boy Scout Councils. Funeral Services were held May 28, 2015 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona or the Humane Society.
