Obituary of Dorothy Lenore Lohr
LOHR, Dorothy "Dee" Lenore, born January 25, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska. Shortly thereafter her family moved to Chicago where she lived until 1963 when with her husband, Jack and three children, moved to Arizona. She met her future husband at U of I Navy Pier Chicago in 1953. They were married in 1957. She graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing. After living as a good family mother, Dee went back to nursing part-time going to ASU and earned a PhD in Adult Education. She started successful consulting businesses and traveled the country while giving seminars and being an expert witness. Poor health made her drop her professional activities and after 30 years in Scottsdale and four kids she and her husband moved to Tucson. There they resided for 23 years and traveled in summer around the western part of the country. More ill health finally caught up with her and she died May 1, 2015. Survived by her husband, Jack and children, Jim, Mary, Penny (Tom) and David (Del); a brother, Don; seven grandchildren and a passel of great-grandchildren. Cremation at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel. Services will be held at a later time. She will be missed.
