Obituary of Anna Lelia Edwards
Anna (Ann) Lelia Edwards (Sprinkle) Freedom! Our mother passed peacefully at her home March 25, 2015. We have sprinkled her ashes in her beloved desert. Our Mom was a woman of unflagging determination and courage. A southern Arizona resident from the age of two, Mom lived for two years in Minnesota before returning to Tucson in 2013. Even to her last letters, Mom wrote with impeccable penmanship and zero errors. Mom was a talented artist. She painted beautifully in oils and watercolors and sketched with skill. During WWII Mom worked at a manufacturing facility. Later she worked in Real Estate and at Newmont Mining the ten years preceding her retirement. After supporting herself for years, Mom became fiercely determined to live her older years on her own terms. With admiration and love, we congratulate her on achieving this. We wish you peace through Eternity Mom and thank you for bringing us into the world. Ann is survived by her two daughters, Diane Raab and Carolyn Healy; sister, Carolyn Shamblin; brother, Richard Sprinkle, and sister-in-law, Joan Sprinkle; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Your dear Mother and family must be happy to have you in their midst! Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
