Obituary of Delbert Alvin Allinder

Delbert "Del" Alvin Allinder 77, passed away peacefully at home in Tucson, AZ surrounded by family and close friends Saturday, April 11, 2015. Born on May 18, 1937 in Svea, MN to Albert and Edith Allinder. Del grew up in the Willmar, MN area and graduated from Willmar High School. He was a man of few words but his philanthropy spoke volumes to many who didn't even know him. Retiring in 2012, after 40 years in the steel business, numerous community and civic organizations, to enjoy life, travel and living in Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Bonita of 22 years; seven adult children, Michael (Dominique) of Minneapolis, MN; Jeffery (Marianne) of Willmar, MN; Thomas (Mary) of Willmar, MN; Christine (Russell) Freeman of Tucson, AZ; John (Nancy) of Willmar, MN; Michael (Eileen) Reuss of Woodbury, MN; Melissa (Sean) Wood of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Eleanor Swenson and Alice Rasmusson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia and sister, Delores Larson. Bonita will host a Celebration of Del's life on Friday, April 17, 2015, 3:00 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 North First Ave., Oro Valley, AZ 87537.
