Obituary of Peggy Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Peggy E., 98, passed away March 30, 2015. Peggy was born on May 8, 1916 to Annie and George Poage in Salem, Oregon. She grew up and spent her life in Oregon until moving to Tucson in 1996 for the last years of retirement. Peggy attended beauty school after high school and later was a cashier at Montgomery Ward. She loved gardening and flower arranging, was active in garden clubs, and became a flower show judge. She is survived by sons, Errol (Ann) of Tucson and Jerry of Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and sister, Elsie Stumpff of Lebanon, OR. After 63 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Montgomery. A Celebration of Peggy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., Tucson.
