Obituary of James Wilson Chumbler
James Wilson Chumbler Awaiting his resurrection our beloved James Wilson Chumbler, completed his journey on March 7, 2015 at the age of 87, born December 19, 1927 in Paducah, KY to the late I. N. Chumbler and Beatrice Stice. At age 16 he joined the Merchant Marines served on the Cape Perpetua Transport Troop Ship. Moved to Tucson in 1945 graduated from Tucson High School. Married his loving wife Margaret Ortega from Douglas, AZ in 1949. Was a member of OPCM Local 395 for over 30 years. Retiring in 1990, also a member of Cocio Estrada Post 59. Proceeded in death by his only son, Donald W. Chumbler. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret and his six daughters, Margaret, Cathy (Charles), Debbie (Eric), Dorothy (Tom), Joan (Rene) and Lori (Robert); grandchildren, Carlos, Christal, Anna, Tommy, Ted, Julie, Joe, Michael, Jonathon, Paul, Valerie, Alex, Jennifer, Marjori and Robbie. 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Thank you VA Medical Center Staff and Hospice staff for the exceptional care provided. Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Johns Catholic Church, 602 W.
