Obituary of Milton Presley McLeod
Milton Presley McLeod one of the founders of California Hydronics Corporation and a truly great person passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the age of 85 after many years of declining health due to his radiation treatment of prostate cancer in the 90's. His son, Kevin and wife, Chris were at his side. Milt was a southern gentleman from the great state of Virginia and always retained that classic Southern accent. Milt enlisted in the Navy, October of 1949 and was honorably discharged October 1953. During that time he was stationed on the USS Missouri. In 1957 Tom Brewer, John Littleton and Milt McLeod started California Hydronics Corp. One year after the founding of CHC - Milt married the love of his life, June (Chris) - and had two children, Kelli and Kevin. Kelli predeceased Milt in 2012. In 1978 Milt became President of CHC until his retirement in 1993. Milt was always active in the industry serving as ASHRAE San Jose Chapter President 1972-1973 and FHRA President in 1989. He was a true leader and earned the respect of everyone. A company like CHC doesn't flourish like they have without a strong foundation, Milt provided that foundation. He was a great man and will truly be missed. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty and work on those Bell & Gossett pumps. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.
