Obituary of Pat Neff Nash
Pat Neff Nash, Sr. died Tuesday, January 20 at 92 years of age. He was born in Cleveland, TX, the youngest son of Ethel Florence Rosier Nash and the Rev. R. L. Nash. Pat served in the 103rd Infantry Division of the United States Army in Europe during World War II and was the recipient of a Bronze Star. His early education took place in Texas public schools and he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Stephen F. Austin State College (later University) and his Doctorate in Education from North Texas State University. He spent 20 years as Professor of Education at the University of Arizona.
Pat enjoyed many years of golf in Tucson and avidly supported University of Arizona Wildcats football.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Madeleine Brown Nash, and son Pat Neff Nash, Jr. of Tucson; son Hal Brown Nash of Waldport, OR; and Dr. L. Hunter Nash of Nogales, AZ. Grandchildren: Hannah and Nathan Nash; Ashley Brown; Joseph, Mark, Matthew, and Benjamin Nash; Morgan, Abigail, and Madeleine Nash; and five great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by his son, Mark Clark Nash.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, January 22 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church
