Obituary of Dale Alan Plummer
PLUMMER, Dale Alan, entered into His rest on December 28, 2014. Dale was born in Inglewood, California on November 9, 1959. He moved to Bowie, Maryland in 1967 where he attended grade school and middle school. After returning to Hawthorne, California in 1975, he graduated early from Hawthorne High School. He began his 35 year career with Hughes/Raytheon Corp on May 22, 1978. Dale loved 4-Wheeling, NASCAR, Budweiser and restoring old Broncos, and most of all spending time with the many friends he attracted along his life's journey. Dale was intensely smart, funny and generous. He was a kind and gentle man, sweet and polite, and devoted to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his many kindnesses, his big heart, and the stories he loved to share with his friends at LBs and at the local Moose lodge. He was president of IOOB for four years and delighted in raising funds to benefit children. Dale is survived by his mother, Nedra Plummer; father, Ronald Plummer and stepmom, Marian; his former wife, Susan; his sisters, Rondra Matthews (Keith) and Cara Thomas and Cara's children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee. Dale's family will hold a private memorial in California. Donations may be made in his memory to the Shriners or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
