Obituary of Lloyd Howard King
Lloyd Howard King 62, of Tucson, died August 29, 2014. He was born to Howard and Verneda King, November 4, 1951, in Monongahela, PA and moved to Tucson with his family in 1961. After graduating from Canyon Del Oro High School in 1969, Lloyd served in the U.S. Army 7th Special Forces Group (Green Berets). He received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1986 and relocated to San Diego where he worked as senior manufacturing engineer in the Space Systems Division of General Dynamics. In 1993 he returned to Tucson and chose to work primarily as a machinist in the production of close-tolerance aerospace and automotive components. He enjoyed flying as a private pilot and working with high performance cars. He traveled to many places in the world, but Lloyd was always happiest at home with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Hartline King; his daughter, Christine Stierna (David); his granddaughter, Rayne; his parents and his sister, Sandy Ruhl (Butch). Private family memorial services will be held.
