Obituary of Hugh Anson Crane
Hugh Anson Crane, Sr. 4/24/1926 - 8/30/2014 Mary Crane 5/28/1928 - 11/19/2010 On August 30th Hugh returned home to Jesus to be with the love of his life, Mary; parents and brothers that preceded him. Hugh leaves behind his seven children, Gay (Rick), Hugh Jr. (Vera), Michael (Julie), Pamela (Joel), Mary Katherine (Hop), Joseph (Kathie) and Sidney (Kimberly). He also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Hugh was born on April 24, 1926, in Memphis, Tennessee. He married the love of his life, Mary, on June 7, 1946. He is an honored veteran of the Navy and served on the battleship USS Idaho during WWII. He is a retired IBEW Electrician and proud 60 year member. As a young man Hugh enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time with his large family and many friends. A special thanks to Casa De La Luz for the tender care given to our father during his last year of life. Also a special thanks to his friend and brother that was always there for him, Don Crater. Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at St. Rita's In The Desert Catholic Church, 13260 E. Colossal Cave Road, Vail, AZ 85641-0400. A Memorial Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. There will be a reception in the church's banquet hall following the Mass. ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
