Obituary of Nancy Jean Porter

Nancy Jean Porter Nancy ended her earthly journey on August 6, 2014 at the age of 84 years old. Nancy Jean was born in Erie, PA in 1929 to Elsa and Henry Brown. She married her high school sweetheart, Les Frame in 1949. She loved the desert, so, in 1963, they and their four children moved to Tucson. After 20 years of marriage, she and Les went their separate ways. She relocated back home to Erie, briefly married Dean Blair and worked in the local steel mill. Missing the desert, Nancy, once again single, made Tucson her home. There she met and eventually married Bill Porter, her husband of 34 years, until his passing in 2007. She always said, "The 3rd time was the charm"! Nancy worked as a cashier most of her life. In their spare time, she and Bill enjoyed participating in the S.C.A., making many friends along the way. Her motto was "NO REGRETS", and on her 70th birthday, she went skydiving! She wore red gloves so her family on the ground could see her! She is survived by her first husband, Les Frame; their four children, Deborah Wilkison of Vail, AZ, Linda (Ken) Williams of Erie, PA, Kathleen Porter of Tucson, AZ and Stephen (Michelle) Frame of Vail, AZ. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her family wishes to give deep and heartfelt thanks to the outstanding staff at Manor Care, especially the 2nd Floor, who were able to make Nancy's final months comfortable. On Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. family and friends will gather to celebrate Nancy's life at Deborah's home in Vail.
