Obituary of Sally B. Foti

Sally B. Foti 11/16/1938 - 7/1/2014 Sally Bernardini Foti, daughter of Leon and Anna Bernardini, passed away on July 1, 2014 in Tucson, AZ after a short illness. Sally was a graduate of Montpelier High School and Vermont Junior College. She then went to work in Hartford, CT, daring to leave small town life for the "big city." She later returned to Montpelier, married, and worked for the Vermont National Bank and the Washington County Probate Court. She retired from the court when Scott, the light of her life was born. She married Robert Foti in 1998 and worked with him at Foti Fuels Inc. in Montpelier, VT and Tucson, AZ until her passing. Her love of music, dancing, and a nice glass of wine were well known. As a child, her caring for stray cats, dogs, and an occasional injured bird demonstrated a nurturing nature that continued throughout her life. In her last weeks, she fought Sjogrens Disease in an effort to return to her Vermont family just one more time. She is survived by her husband, Bob; her son, Scott of Groton, VT; brother, Doug Bernardini of Barre, VT; sister, Connie Hudson of Berlin, VT; stepchildren, Chris Foti and his wife Nancy of Nashua, NH; Ginna Virginillo and her husband Kevin of Red Rock, AZ; and her four grandsons, Grant and Connor Foti and Dominic and Christopher Virginillo, who knew her as their Nanaba and Baa; and many nieces, and nephews, and longtime friends in Tucson especially Tammy and Helen. Arrangements will be made by the ADAIR FUNERAL HOME in Tucson, AZ and Whitcomb Funeral Home in Barre, VT. Calling hours at Whitcomb Funeral Home in Barre, VT are on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A private family burial will occur on a later date.
