Obituary of Betty J. Keeley

Betty J. Keeley (Highfill), 90, passed peacefully on May 5, 2014. Born in Terra Haute, Indiana, on November 22, 1923, to Linden and Mary Highfill, she moved to Tucson with her son, Robert Hall, in 1946. Betty was the first female employee of the Arizona Highway Patrol in the Tucson Sector and retired from Tucson Electric in 1986. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas J. Keeley, retired police captain, TPD; and her son, Robert (Ilse); and her three grandchildren, Heidi, Cathy and Bobby; ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and revered by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014, at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
