Obituary of Eugene Zirnheld

Eugene Zirnheld Native Tucsonan, Eugene Zirnheld, died on March 26, 2014, at age 48. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Casey" Compernolle, and his sons, Justin Arthur and Brandon Henry. He was the youngest of four children and is survived by his siblings, Allen (Doreen), Barry,, and Denise Chick (Gillian); his parents, Arthur and Jan; niece, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Morgan Zirnheld; and nephews, Brent McFarland and Eric McFarland. Eugene graduated from Canyon Del Oro High School and was a licensed contractor and owner of Zirncom, a successful home remodeling and maintenance/repair company. Eugene was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was the founder of the Gray Ghost Hunting Club. Most of their family vacations were spent at lakes and parks. He enjoyed many an evening around the campfire with his wife and boys. Eugene enjoyed bowling; and he met his wife, Casey, at the bowling alley. "Love strikes again," was how friends described their loving marriage of 20 years. Eugene was a wonderful human being with a big heart. He was a loving husband, incredible father, and a friend to all that knew him. He provided a foundation of support in all aspects of Casey's and his children's lives. He will be forever lovingly remembered by all that knew him. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at St. Mark's United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Sharon Ragland officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, General Fund.
