Obituary of Harold Hartmann

Harold Hartmann, 95, was called to heaven, March 14, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 28, 1918. Harold married the love of his life on October 2, 1937. They lived together in Chicago, where he was called into service in 1945; upon the release from the army, they opened a neighborhood confectioner's store. After the birth of their third daughter in 1953, they moved to Tucson. After working at various jobs, he eventually started work at Hughes Aircraft, where he retired. He was very active with Sabbar Shrine Temple, where he was a lifetime charter member and a member of the Directors' Staff. He also belonged to the Masonic Temple, Scottish Rite, Aaron Lodge 49, Veterans of WWII, and Machinist Union 933. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, of 76 years; three daughters, Judy Abbott (Ron) of Tucson, Myrtle Edmiston (Bob) of Santa Rosa, California, Sharon Woolridge (Steve) of Tucson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation and Services will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1220 W. Magee Road, Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Visitation will be Noon - 1:00 p.m., with Services following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, at Magee and Northern Ave.
