Obituary of Ruby C. Parker

PARKER, Ruby Caroline, 68, of Tucson, AZ, went to be with her Lord on January 24, 2014, after fighting a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Caroline Nye and the late Rudy Nye, who preceded her to heaven. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three children, a daughter, Dawn, of Tucson; and two sons, Guy of Tucson, and Curtis of Lynchburg, VA; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Kate Nye, of Elgin, AZ; and five sisters, Pam Bowman of Elgin, AZ, Dorthy Sprik of Amado, AZ, Raelene Cavanaugh of Rock Hill, SC, Alice Colombo of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Donna Varney of California. At Ruby's request there will be no burial service. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Tucson, AZ. Phone 520-742-7901. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona in the name of Ruby Parker and The Wolves MC.
